Mealybug Control

Control Mealybugs with Cryptolaemus montrouzieri

Mealybugs, the common name of insects in Pseudococcidae family, are a serious problem for citrus farmers, as they feed on plant sap while secreting a powdery wax on trees and fruit. Uncontrolled infestations not only reduce yield, but lead to leaf drop and tree death. Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, also known as "the Mealybug Destroyer," is a safe, economical, and long-term solution to mealybugs.

Cryptolaemus montrouzieri is also highly effective in controlling vine mealybugs for grape growers. Along with Anagyrus pseudococci, they provide an effective one-two punch against the devastating pest. Cryptolaemus has many benefits, including:

  • Predator of many types of mealybugs
  • Aggressively attacks VMB eggs and crawlers
  • Associates Insectary has raised 100's of millions since 1928
  • Predators are winged and easy to release

Associates Insectary is the ONLY U.S.-based supplier of Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, which assures quicker delivery of more living beetles.
